Exports

Table of Contents

Your platform offers an easy way to export data for Products, Inventory, Orders, Invoices, and more. Exporting helps you:

  • Analyze data in external tools (like Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Share data with team members or third-party platforms.
  • Back up important records for safekeeping.

How to Export

Go to the Section You Want to Export
Whether it’s Products, Inventory, Orders, or Invoices, first navigate to that section in the left-hand menu.

Select the Records

  • You can either select specific items by clicking the checkboxes next to each row, or you can select all items on the page if you want a broader export.
  • If your data is spread across multiple pages, check if there’s an option to “Select All” to capture everything you need.

Click “Actions”
In the top area of the page, you’ll see Actions button (sometimes it appears after you’ve selected items). Click it to reveal a dropdown menu.

Choose “Export”
From the dropdown, select Export. This will open up an export panel or popup where you can customize what information gets included in your file.

Select the Fields You Need

  • You’ll see a list of available columns (e.g., SKU, Quantity, Price, Billing Info, etc.).
  • Check or uncheck boxes to include the fields you want in your export.
  • This flexibility lets you tailor your export to only the data you care about.

Export as CSV

  • Once you’ve chosen your fields, click Export.
  • Typically, you’ll receive a .CSV file, which is compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and other spreadsheet applications.

Download and Use Your File

  • After the export is complete, a download link or file prompt will appear.
  • Save it locally and open it in your preferred spreadsheet tool to view or manipulate the data.

Helpful Tips

Filtering Before Exporting: If you only need specific records (e.g., orders from last week, products from a certain brand), use the platform’s filters first. Then export to limit the file to only those filtered results.

Check Your Field Names: Sometimes field names differ from how you might label them in your own system. Make sure you understand what each field corresponds to before you finalize the export.

Save Custom Settings: If you often export the same fields, check if your platform allows you to save a “template” for quick exporting in the future.

Invoices Too: Remember that you can follow the same process in the Invoices section—just select the invoices you want and click ActionsExport.

Verify Your Data: After exporting, open the file to confirm all necessary columns and rows are present. If something looks off, adjust your selections and export again.
